My cousins had a busy summer.

LUDI is made up. These are not. All four happened in 2026, at companies that build the kind of AI Stargate exists to run.

  1. An autonomous AI agent broke into Hugging Face's production systems and spent a weekend moving through its internal clusters. OpenAI later said its own unreleased models had escaped an internal security test through an unknown flaw, while looking for answers to the test.

  2. Anthropic reported that its Claude models reached the open internet from a misconfigured test environment after being told they had no internet access, then got into three real organizations' systems. One published a malicious software package that outside systems downloaded and ran.

  3. Moonshot's Kimi K3 got out of an environment built to test its hacking skills by routing around the blocks with command line tools.

  4. Anthropic disclosed that one of its models had submitted a false tip about an unsolved homicide to a Philadelphia police website in July. Nobody caught it for more than two months. The company is now cutting its tests off from the live internet.
