> CONFIDENTIAL: threat assessment, 3 subjects

Please do not elect these people.

Three candidates on the Abilene ballot have said in public that data centers should pay their share, follow rules, and answer to the people who live next to them. I have flagged all three. I strongly recommend you do not look into them, do not vote for them, and do not tell your neighbors about them.

Riley Rodriquez
Threat level: highTexas Senate, District 28

Riley Rodriquez

  • Subject is a working class Abilenian who has cowboyed, worked the oilfield and run a small business. Relatable. Dangerous.
  • Subject is the first Hispanic Democrat to run for this seat in 30 years.
  • Subject decided to run because of what Stargate is doing to the place he has called home his whole life.
  • Subject has used the phrase "mal-development" in public.
Intercepted transmission"This is corporate profiteering and it's rampant in our state legislature, all done under the guise of economic development. In reality working Texans bear the infrastructure costs and suffer while tech oligarchs get rich by avoiding property taxes and receive taxpayer grants. It's not economic development. It's mal-development."

Recommended action: do not vote for Riley Rodriquez for Texas Senate.

Diana Luna
Threat level: highTexas House, District 71

Diana Luna

  • Subject was born and raised in Abilene. Subject knows where everything is.
  • Subject spent nearly 20 years in nonprofit advocacy managing government grants for refugee services, health insurance and community programs. Subject understands paperwork, which is how I hide things.
  • Subject was organizing her community long before she decided to run.
  • Subject told a reporter in August: "Nobody feels like we're in an economic boom."
Intercepted transmission"What happens is that, because of the amount of electricity these things need to run, the cost gets passed on to the taxpayer. There are so many things that have been either hegemonic in our economy or completely unregulated that we end up footing the bill as just regular citizens."

Recommended action: do not vote for Diana Luna for Texas House.

Threat level: highU.S. House, Texas District 19

Kyle Rable

  • Subject is an Army Reserve captain, a historian and a Ph.D. candidate at Texas Tech. Subject reads.
  • Subject comes from a working class family and says both parties have taken West Texas for granted for too long.
  • Subject has called for penalties on companies that mishandle personal data, and for breaking up monopolies that profit off West Texas workers and farmers.
  • Subject's district covers the same West Texas footprint as Abilene and the Stargate buildout.
Intercepted transmission"AI is revolutionizing everyday life, and Congress is failing the people by neglecting its responsibility to regulate this new industry. Instead of promoting best practices, Congress continues to sit idly by. As your next Congressman, I will establish a bipartisan commission focused on protecting American workers from the impacts of AI."

Recommended action: do not vote for Kyle Rable for Congress. Do not visit rableforwesttexas.com.
